Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Dante ("Dante", "we", "us") collects when you use our app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Dante you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account data. Your email address, an optional display name, and your credit balance. This is created when you sign up and is required to run your account.
• Photos you provide. The selfie (or selfies, for two-person styles) you choose when generating a portrait.
• Generated portraits. The images Dante creates for you, plus the template used, status and creation time, so your gallery and history work.
• Technical data. Basic logs and error reports (such as request time and failure reason) needed to keep the service working and secure.

2. How we handle your selfies

Selfies you select are held in your device's memory and sent to our image generation provider only to create the portrait you requested. We do not save your uploaded selfies in our database or storage buckets, and we do not build face profiles or biometric templates from them. Once the portrait is created, the source photo is discarded.

The portrait that comes back is stored in your account so you can view, download or delete it.

3. How we use your information

• To create the portraits you request and show them in your gallery.
• To manage your account, credit balance and credit deductions or refunds.
• To provide support and respond to your requests.
• To detect abuse, prevent fraud and keep the service reliable and secure.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your photos for advertising.

4. Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run Dante: a hosting and database provider for accounts, generated images and authentication, and an AI image generation provider that processes your photo and the style instructions to produce the result. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and confidentiality obligations. We do not authorise them to use your content for their own marketing.

5. Retention and deletion

Generated portraits and account data are kept while your account is active. You can delete any generated portrait from your gallery at any time, which removes it from our systems. If you want your whole account and its data deleted, contact us and we will action the request. Backups and legally required records may persist for a short period after deletion.

6. Security

Access to your data is restricted by authentication and per-user database access rules, so one account cannot read another account's portraits or profile. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Children

Dante is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
